Subscribe to Brentfield's Email Service Receive Real-Time News & Updates!!! We are proud to announce that Brentfield (RISD) has an email subscription service called listserv. Listserv’s email subscription allows you to receive the following information from Brentfield: School-closing info Urgent information regarding safety issues Reminders of important school events Breaking news from Brentfield How can you get it? To subscribe to our mailing list, which is managed by the RISD Majordomo listserver, send an email to: brentfield-subscribe@listserver.risd.org Leave the subject line and the body of the message blank. In response to your request, Majordomo will send you two e-mail messages. The first message will explain that in order to subscribe, your request must be authenticated. The message will include a link that you can click to automatically generate an email message addressed to Majordomo. The body of that automatically created message should include your personal authentication key and email address. Assuming the email program you use can automatically create the complete reply message, all you have to do is send that reply message. The reply message will be preaddressed to Majordomo. If your email program is unable to create the reply message automatically, or if the message it creates is not complete (for example, the reply message is correctly addressed to Majordomo, but the body of the message is blank), you must create or complete the message yourself. Carefully follow the instructions contained in the message you receive from Majordomo to manually create and send the reply message back to Majordomo. Once you have sent your reply message, you should receive a second message from Majordomo that verifies your subscription and welcomes you to the list. Please note that we will never give your email address to a third party and we will not overload you with emails. How do I Unsubscribe? To unsubscribe from our mailing list, send an e-mail message to: brentfield-unsubscribe@listserver.risd.org. Leave the subject line and the body of the message blank. Important: When unsubscribing, you must send your message to Majordomo using the same e-mail account you used to subscribe to the list. In reply to your request, Majordomo will send you a brief message confirming that you have unsubscribed. If you attempt to unsubscribe by sending your message from an email address other than the one you used to subscribe to the list, Majordomo will reply with a message saying that it has sent an email to the address that you originally subscribed with. That email asks you to confirm that you really do want to unsubscribe.
